Background
The Ritters were chosen by God to fight evil, and God is their master. The Schattenjäger Talisman is filled with God's power and energy (and praying out to God can increase that energy). But something happened, one of them was cursed, and so the Ritters lost the way.
People visit St. Louise Cathedral to commune with God.
Novel
God is said to be the only other individual in the room during the Schattenjäger initiation. The only other two are the previous Schattenjäger, and the new. It is the time when the mantle of the Shadow Hunter changes hands.
