Separation of sourcesEdit
I do believe due to the nature of the stories and adaptations we need to do a bit more separation of material originating from the games, the novels, and the 20th Anniversary Edition. This may involve having to split some articles if they are a larger topic, such as the articles about Gabriel or Grace where synopses of the characters from each of those sources could be given their own articles. Or in case of smaller articles combining information but under separate headings. I've tried to do this in a few places already.Baggins (talk) 12:05, October 18, 2014 (UTC)
- I haven't read much of the novels, but the first novel doesn't seem to contradict anything from the game. It just provides some additional background information that wouldn't fit in the game. CanIPlay (talk) 12:15, October 18, 2014 (UTC)
- Actually there are some dating issues, including the timing of when Gabriel became an orphan, and the age of Wolfgang, and Grandma Knight, etc. However the overall book itself is more or less similar to the order of events from the game, with some character changes here or there (or information changes such as Golems instead of zombies). See Ester Knight vs. Rebecca Knight. I have more notes over in Combined timeline. However the dates and timing become even more separated by the second book, especially concerning the Ritter history, and the story takes several detours from the game in locations and events. Including some new locations, and new individuals not involved in the original game.
anyone still editing the gabriel knight pages?
- I will resume when I will move to the next story of GK. CanIPlay (talk) 00:03, January 24, 2015 (UTC)
